It has become common place to visit Pinterest when looking for dinner idea. Like many of my peers, I have a board full of recipes to try. Let’s face it, when scrolling through all those pretty pictures I can get really hungry seeing all that food. Yum!
But things can become sticky when you actually try to make those recipes. As I have worked my way through my collection of Pinterest recipes, I have found some that I will definitely make again. Likewise, I have found some that will not appear in my kitchen a second time.
Here is my round up of Pinterest recipes.
The “better than take out chicken fried rice“: I made this recipe last night and it was a hit in my house. It could easily be adjusted for different types of veggies and rice.
Soft Pretzels and cheese dip: I didn’t make the cheese dip, just the pretzels. I usually make one batch and cover half with cinnamon sugar and half with sea salt.
Bowtie pasta with Italian dressing mix and Parmesan: The blog is gone now but the instructions are in the Pin description. Wasn’t the best looking dish but it was good and my husband asked me to make it again. Win.
Easy Sesame Chicken: It is in fact super easy and super tasty as well. I have in fact made this more than 5 times.
Grilled Chicken Pasta in Tomato Cream Sauce: Delicious. Done.
One Pot Andouille Sausage Skillet Pasta: This one was only okay. I may make it again because it was really easy and hearty but I won’t be craving it any time soon.
The ones I won’t be making again:
“The Best Broccoli of Your Life“: Yeah… Maybe I messed up making it? It really wasn’t everything I was hoping for and I won’t be trying it again.
Easy and Creamy White Chicken Enchiladas: Too much, too rich.
Crockpot Ravioli Casserole: I was excited for this one thinking it would be an easy, hearty meal but it wasn’t meant to be. The pasta didn’t turn out very consistent and overall it wasn’t super flavorful.
How would you rate the recipes you have found on Pinterest? Any that I must try? Any complete failures?
