I have been dying to make a wreath of magnolia leaves so I sat down today and got to work.
Before getting started I googled “how to make a magnolia wreath” and read a ton of tutorials. I’ll post a few of them at the end of this post.
I used a medium size wire wreath ($2.99 at Hobby Lobby), floral wire ($2.99 at HL), and a bag full of large magnolia leaves from a very old tree in my mother-in-law’s yard (free). A trick to magnolia leaves is to wipe them down with a little oil (vegetable or baby, it doesn’t really matter). It helps to clean them and make them last a little longer.
This wire is great. I didn’t take a picture but on the other side is a built in wire cutter.
I grabbed about four or so leaves together
and wrapped them in wire to make a bundle.
I wrapped each bundle to the wire wreath about three or so inches apart, just however you are comfortable.
Here is my finished product!
I might add a few more leaves here or there which shouldn’t be a problem with the wire wreath.
If you make your own wreath I want to see it!
Here are some links I came up with:

Very cute!!

Wreath Tutorial”? It has loads of really good details.
Thanks a lot ,Nestor

That is *really* pretty! We don’t have loads of magnolias here in Michigan, but if we did this would be on my “Must Try” list!
